Clankwarden is a Discord moderation and anti-scam bot. By adding it to a server or using its commands, the server's administrators and members agree to these terms, which should be read alongside the Privacy Policy.

What the bot does

Clankwarden provides scammer and bot-account containment (the .clank system), a moderation command set, a tamper-evident audit log, automatic impersonation (dehoist) handling, and a setup wizard. It acts only within the servers it is added to, using the Discord permissions granted at invite time — it never requests Administrator.

Acceptable use

• Use Clankwarden for legitimate server moderation and safety only.
• Do not use its containment or moderation features to harass, silence, or retaliate against members for reasons unrelated to genuine moderation — for example, targeting users over personal disputes or protected characteristics.
• Do not attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer for circumvention, or otherwise interfere with the bot or the infrastructure it runs on.
• Server administrators are responsible for how their moderators configure and use the bot, and for complying with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Data

Clankwarden stores the moderation data described in the Privacy Policy, scoped per server. The deletion paths documented there — per-server erasure on removal, per-user erasure via .modlog forget, and the configurable retention windows — govern how long data is kept. Your use of the bot is also governed by that policy.

Availability & warranty

The bot is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. The operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may change, suspend, or discontinue the bot or any feature at any time. Clankwarden is a tool that assists human moderators; it does not replace moderator judgement, and the operator is not liable for moderation decisions made by a server's staff.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the bot.

Changes

These terms may be updated; material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
